About me
Mike Tassey currently serves as the Data Security Advisor for the Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) at the US Department of Education. With decades of information security experience as a hacker and security expert, he helps education institutions at all levels develop strong, compliant information security programs and manage risk to education data. Before joining PTAC, Mike served in various senior technical positions within the military and intelligence communities, and as a security consultant for the critical infrastructure industry and global financial exchanges.
